Dear Friends of Malvern Cemetery:
The members of the Board of Directors join me in thanking you most sincerely for your continued support of the Malvern Cemetery. Once again, we are launching our annual financial campaign and soliciting donations to ensure that we can maintain the highest standards possible in the care and upkeep of the Cemetery. You may forward your donations to: Malvern Cemetery, P.O. Box 306, Station Lennoxville, Sherbrooke, QC J1M 1Z5, or visit our website (www.malverncemetery.com) where you can contribute using PayPal. Whichever method you choose, a receipt for income tax purposes will be sent to you.
Next Generation
As traditions change from what our parents and grandparents did by visiting and supporting the cemetery, it is now the responsibility of the next generations to keep their legacy alive. As a privately owned cemetery, your financial support is very important to our longevity.
Serene & Majestic
In life when you are truly proud of something and those around you join in, it can create interest. This is truly the case at the Malvern Cemetery. Over the past 5 years the interest in purchasing lots for the inevitable future has greatly increased. What is truly interesting is that all marvel at the serenity of the surroundings, and more importantly it is their choice.
It has been a busy spring due to delays associated with COVID-19 and losing a loved one is never easy but I have seen a glimmer of peace in people’s eyes, as they look at and admire the majestic grounds on which our Cemetery is located
Getting in Touch – Database
Our website continues to generate interest in our Cemetery, as we consistently receive requests and inquiries from around the world. The Board of Directors is continuing its goal to digitizing these records with over 148 years of history, this information is priceless!
We continue to work on this project, COVID 19 restrictions set us back somewhat, but it is a high on the list of priorities that the board will complete.
Sponsor a Tree
This endeavour started in 2018 with two sponsored trees. Your continued generosity has enabled us to increase this number to 31 planted as of 2021. This project is an important part of looking to the future and beautifying the Cemetery. Over the past four years, our older, mature trees have been damaged by storms and ageing. We invite you to consider joining us in making this wonderful project even more successful!
Spring flowers & Wreath program
The popularity of these two services continues to grow and we hope more of you will consider participating in the project. Please visit our website for more information.
Any questions regarding lots or maintenance may be addressed to our Cemetery Manager, Ronny Casteur at 819-877-2338.
Sincerely,
Kevin Frost (President)
