Dear Friends of Malvern Cemetery:
The members of the Board of Directors join me in thanking you most sincerely for your continued support of the Malvern Cemetery. Once again, we are launching our annual financial campaign and soliciting donations to ensure that we can maintain the highest standards possible in the care and upkeep of the Cemetery. You may forward your donations to: Malvern Cemetery, P.O. Box 306, Station Lennoxville, Sherbrooke, QC J1M 1Z5, or visit our website (www.malverncemetery.com) where you can contribute using PayPal. Whichever method you choose, a receipt for income tax purposes will be sent to you.
Thanking our Donors
We invite you to look at the Memorial Donation section on our Website. Without your generous support the upkeep of our Cemetery would not be possible.
‘COVID 19 – challenges
The first half of 2020 has certainly changed the way we handle our daily lives and we trust all of you are staying safe. This crisis will definitely affect the Malvern Cemetery as many families are delaying services until later in the season. This will certainly adversely impact our revenues and, as we are a private cemetery, we are on our own to keep things running financially. We have heard many times from our members that the Government will step in to assist financially; we can assure you this is false. Without your support, especially in times like this, the Malvern Cemetery will be challenged. We must also reach out to a new generation – those who will follow us – to make them aware that caring for their ancestors’ resting places requires their financial support now and in the future.
Sponsor a Tree
Started in 2018, with 2 sponsored trees, your continued generosity has enabled this number to increase to 10. This project is an important part of looking to the future and beautifying the cemetery. Over the past two years our older, mature trees have been severely damaged by storms. We invite you to seriously consider joining us in making this wonderful project even more successful!
Our photo gallery has expanded. We encourage anyone to share photos that can be added to our website.
Spring flower & Wreath program:
Please visit our website for more information about our services.
Artificial Flowers are no longer allowed:
For environmental reasons artificial flowers are no longer allowed in our cemetery.
Bylaw – 27 has been in effect for several years now but we wanted to give all of you a reasonable chance to adjust to this change. Please be advised that, effective immediately, all artificial flowers will be removed.
During the summer months, any questions you may have regarding lots or maintenance may be addressed to our Cemetery Manager, Ronny Casteur at 819-877-2338.
